The Victoria Government has recently announced Level 4 restrictions for the Melbourne Metropolitan areas coming into effect at 11:59pm on Thursday the 6th of August. Our number one priority over the coming weeks will be to continue to do our part to keep our staff and community safe, whilst offering the consistent high level of essential eyecare service we pride ourselves on.
Our stores in Victoria will be open during this time with reduced trading hours and limited services. If you have booked an eye test in the coming weeks and you do not think it essential for your eye health that you attend, we would recommend you postpone.
If you are in need of essential eyecare from one of our optometrists you can book online or call your local store to make an appointment. An eyecare appointment would be considered essential if:
- Postponing the appointment would be likely to pose a risk to your eye health; or
- If postponing the appointment would impact your ability to safely function day to day.
To help ensure the safety of our staff and patients we will be increasing our cleaning and sanitizing schedules of stores and optometry equipment. Our staff will be following government regulations and wearing masks and we ask that all our customers do the same.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 please do not attend any of our stores. We can reschedule your appointment for a later date.
Recent & future purchases: If you have recently purchased glasses or contact lenses and are waiting for them to arrive into one of our Melbourne stores, our team will contact you to organise delivery direct to your home, free of charge. Alternatively they can support contactless click and collect if delivery is not an option.

Following official guidelines, we are excited to be able to safely welcome you back into some of our locations across Australia during limited trading hours and services.
As always, the safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority, so we are putting in additional processes and will be operating our stores differently than usual to ensure cleanliness and social distancing measures are observed at all times. Due to the ever changing circumstances our processes may change weekly, we will update this page as often as necessary.
Days and hours will differ between stores so please check the respective store pages or Google listing for updated hours before visiting. You can make an appointment for optometry services using our online booking system here.
From 4 May, we are introducing the following measures into our store operations:
- All customers will be subject to screening either in person or over the phone prior to appointments
- There will be a limit to the number of people allowed in store at one time. Staff and customers will continue to stay 1.5m or more apart.
- Hand sanitiser will be available at the entry to all our stores
- We will have non-contact infrared thermometers available for optometrists to pre-screen patients
- Adequate time built in between appointments for cleaning equipment and rooms
- We will be cashless for hygiene purposes
We are now also offering a full range of eye exams as per recent guidelines from the Optometry Association of Australia.
